The Saint Louis Museum has the largest number of Bingham works, Luminist-style paintings of rural Missouri frontier life in the two decades before the American Civil War.       ... Express we don't have that privilege so I find myself in the middle seat of the second back row, seated next to a VERY large lady. I thought she was trying to put on her seat belt while still standing. That kind of big.

      I left Flagstaff after a mere 25 hours, the departing train was a bit late due to a collision with an elk, and now I'm on my way to St. Louis. This leg was particularly eventful because my train had about a dozen Amish making their way back home from three weeks in Tijuana... And no it wasn't for an epic stag party. Apparently Amish sometimes travel to Mexico for medical care and they were on their way back home to New York. Only three more days of train travel for them.

      ... which just lead to my insane irrational jealousy that all the kids that entered the stadium that day received free stuffed build-a-bear Fred Birds. I considered making up a sick child that I "needed" a free stuffed bird for, but decided the heat had melted my brain and perhaps that would be going too far.

      ... guy called Blake and his lady Charris (prounounced the same as Karris), they have been very welcoming.

      My first day here, as I arrived in the afternoon, I didn’t feel up to much so just had a walk about the streets to get my bearings a bit. Some lovely places here, its about 28 K’s out of downtown St Louis. Blake tells me the public transport is not so good here so if I want to go into town best I take the car.
