... getting away from their wives but no other 23 year olds carrying cordless gas straighteners (elly's not mine). We went for another dip in the Rhine as it is so refreshing after a day in the sun, and now enjoying more cold German beer ( Gaffel Kolsch) from the campsite which is somehow really cheap, looking forward to more 'spectacular views' along the Rhine gorge tomorrow. We weren't being cooked alive this morning which was a treat due to some excellent pine trees (I have no idea what trees they were really) covering our patch of tent until 8.30. So we had a 'lie in' and cologne or koln as the Germans call it was in sight a mere 19 miles to cologne before lunchtime was the plan. We found our way easily and followed the eurovelo 15 signs which we have been following all the way, ( probably should of metioned before now) not quite as good as ...

... is green and lush. Constantly you see vineyard's growing up the sides of hills and castles everywhere. For dinner we left the ship to travel to Namedy Castle. The castle is owned by a Princess and is opened to the APT group for viewing and dinner. During the evening a pianist from the Cologne university came and played. It was a great evening!

... back to the streets of Dusseldorf. John heard back from Mary's doctor and she did test positive for strep. The doctor was willing to phone a prescription over if we could find a pharmacist who spoke English. This was probably not going to be as easy as what we've read. We stopped in at Vodafone and picked up our SIM card. For 15 Euro, we have 200 minutes of calling and unlimited data and texts for 30 days. This means if someone really needed to get in touch ...
