... back in Cologne. It is nice to be feel normal, have energy, not want to take a nap every 30, we slept in a little and then headed to town for breakfast. We asked for an American breakfast (snobs?) and she sent us to a hotel about a block away. Before dinner we had a farewell Captains Cocktail Party on board followed by a Farewell Captain's Dinner (a 5 star 5 course dinner to die for). ... for more days but we'd messed up not booking Eurostar and with this being the bank holiday weekend we had to take a Saturday morning berth at a ridiculous price which only left us two quick days to fit in a visit to Bruges too. And leaving Düsseldorf was also the hardest drive of the holiday. Too many u-turns, tunnels and general city mayhem. I was sad to leave Ulla and Jochen but glad to get out of Düsseldorf traffic. It then rained, loads, all the way to Belgium and its still raining ...
