The train ride from Hue to Da Nang (highly recommended) had some of the best scenery I've ever seen, and ranged from coast to rice fields to steep mountain passes. The town itself is Vietnam's third biggest and I expected it to be a lot busier than Hue. People use Da Nang as a stop over to Hoi An, so when we arrived the place looked empty, but is on the beach so we like it already. The children here range from new borns -16 years old when they leave. Most have been abounded and found on the street, many with special needs. This is an experience which makes you very grateful for what you have but happy that they have support from the government here and a place for food shelter and education. ...

The weather is lovely here, very very warm and so far the days have been blue skies with no rain. The pool area and beach benefit from a breeze which is very welcome. The next morning I once again I enjoyed a great Cao Lau, and for a second time I had to say goodbye to Nhung and her family, after they looked after me so well again.
Overall I enjoyed my second stay in Hoi. It is a lovely town, and very very popular with tourists. Seeing the Ancient town and eating the tasty food it is not difficult to understand why. However, I must admit sme of the current development I have seen, mainly the stupid speakers ...
