... our stroll. There are over 1200 different kinds of plants in the Renaissance garden which is built in terraces. Hands down the most beautiful gardens I’ve ever seen. You’ll have to look at the pictures and judge for yourself!

Tonight is a special 'Be My Guest’ dinner on an island in Lake Maggiore. The restaurant is called The Pirate Cove and is in an 800 year old structure. The restaurant is not usually ...

We had a free day today as most of the tour group were heading to Lake Como for a boat cruise, shopping, and celebrity hunting. Timed it so we were able to Skype both of the girls and our grand daughters and had a good chat ...

Very classy restaurant with wonderful ...

The approach is so steep that a man-made set of switch-backs had to be built to enable car traffic to get to the top. At the top, in addition to the statue of Christ and several kiosks for trinkets and tourist memorabilia, is the Church of San Biagio. This old structure, with its simple and pretty interior, served the ancient community of ...

Off To the South of Italy!

... us further south to our destination Maratea in Posetano. Momentarily, we had a couple of doubts until we realized that A30 and A3 were one and the same....whew!

As we continued south, we began to encounter increasingly higher hills with heavy vegitation. Another 30 kms down the road and he freeway began to go through the mountainous terrain rather than around them. We counted 28 fairly lengthy tunnels on our journey south. By the time we were 50 kms south of Naples, we ...
