... castle. We arrived at the castle and got a tour all the way around, it was so amazing and very dramatic, it was quite modern and colourful for a castle. ... woman ,began to build their own chiesa, adorned with mosaics and add sparkles to those already there .Theodoro even built a few of her own.
The Ravenna of today is a small town , but has 8 Unesco world heritage sites of Byzantine mosaics. As we all know how I love glittery things so....it was on the list of " must do's".

No cars allowed in the centre and not many tourists , perfect for cycling , we found out ...

Arriving back in the of town at around 4.30 pm, Stewart and I decided we would head to the top of the Torre Asinelli. ... is open to the public. There are 599 steps to the top, which Stewart counted the next day when we both descended from the top.

After that we wandered around the center of town. We visited various grand Piazzas, walking past smart shops and restaurants. We then found a supermarket where we bought some supplies.

After quite a lot of walking, we headed back to the apartment for showers, to do the laundry and check our email. ...
