... us on shoulder-less, high traffic roads - the equivalent of Barbur Boulevard (in Portland) without bike lanes. We made it safely to Dese and reconnected with our route, but wow, what an adrenalin rush! Ironically, our detour knocked 5k off our route. ... took some work getting to the actual city of Venice this morning from where I am staying and it takes work to get around here period. The streets are so confusing but I thought if I just walked down the grand canal I would find some entertainment. But there's really not much to do here! The one big museum I found had a crazy line so. Thought I would just wander around but to be totally honest, I didn't see the beauty of Venice ...

... booth at the train station, where Senora Snottia de Snoterria told me she didn't know of internet places, and why would she??!! I bid her good day, and, tears in my eyes, sat down out in the lobby with an equally defeated Jennie. Some nice Canadian woman offered me a mint, "to forget it all", and her friend went to ask the same question. She came back with a marked map.

We found our way to an internet place, where all was resolved, ...
