We made it safely to Dese and reconnected with our route, but wow, what an adrenalin rush! Ironically, our detour knocked 5k off our route. ... in wine and purchini mushrooms which was great. Yoed had a Venetian style fish which sadly wasn't to his taste, so to make it up for him and for dessert we went to have some great gelato before taking a water bus back to our lido suite. Today we have to pack, as tomorrow noon we are leaving Venice back to Milan. Our vacation is ending, oh no! :-( we had such a great time here in Italy it is hard to leave. Oh well, we still have half a day tomorrow, stay ...

... spent done time on the beach, but we hadn't bought our beach stuff and I think Glyn would have melted! Had to get a gelato to cool down! Got the boat back to San Marco which gave us some amazing photos heading of st marks square from the water. Back to the hotel to cool down, check out our sun burn and get ready for our last night in Venice. We decided to swallow the cost and go for a touristy ...
