Left for everest base camp and stopped at tashilunpo monastery in shigatse whilst our guide sorted our alien travel permit. We drove on a bumpy track for the last 200km after the friendship highway and could feel the high altitude taking effect. Felt lightheaded and breathless even without leaving the landcruiser. Our first view of everest was so exciting, the summit was covered ...
