"Down in the big house," he said, dozing off.

A travel blog entry by avenel on Dec 07, 2011

The apartment has been quite dry since the central heating came on. I've taken to putting little bowls of water on windowsills, and bought a squirty bottle to spray around and try and raise the humidity a bit. At first I blamed the allergies and reached for the nasonex, but by the end of Tuesday it was obvious I was coming ...

... taxi FIRST and then show them the card of where u want to go.  They have a fat chance getting you out of the cab then, especially when I got in a cab with my 14 kg back pack and small back pack and then showed him the address of the new hostel I was heading to.  Boy was he angry, I didn't need to know Chinese to know that but I just sat in the cab until he started to drive.  He tried to kick me out a little way into the journey that was close but I just kept sitting there ...
