Citadel of Salah Al-Din
I had heard about this place but had put off going there, no real reason I thought it was just another bunch of Mosques, but there is a military museum there, so it seemed an idea to see what it had to offer, plus there was this Mohammed Ali Mosque there
We set off in a taxi and braved the Cairo traffic once again
I can't understand why there aren’t more accidents and pranged cars, ...
... to venture inside for a look. Unfortunately no cameras are allowed so no photos from inside. We then made our way back to the second pyramid for a look before heading down to the Sphinx. The most impressive one for me was King Ramesses the 2nd he looked really good for being dead for over 3000 years. We ended up spending nearly 5 hours in the museum and i could have spent longer there was just so much to see. Good thing we are going back ...
