Dinner of kebabs for the girls was certainly less eventful, but as we returned to the hotel afterwards we found the square still occupied by the ambulance which had by then been joined by the police.
The girls went to bed and Mike and I, who didn’t feel like kebabs for dinner ducked downstairs for a bowl of minestrone and a glass of red wine.
