We got the party started. Kent if your reading this your recital of Pulps "Disco 2000" was excellent and your acapella version of "Auld Lang Syne" was second to none and very ammusing. ... I grabbed a leaflet from the greyhound station and seen it advertising Old Sacramento. I thought this could be good so I got onto a bus and went.
I was so surprised when I arrived, the district was stuck in the gold rush era. There were people dressed up, horse and carts roaming around, men welding and women sewing. There was a steam boat and train which I would of liked to go on but due to time I couldn't. But just sitting eating lunch whilst watching the train go past ...
... house. The steak, potatoes, and all the rest of the chow was GREAT!! That was only the second home made meal we had eaten so far on our journey, the last one being back in Etna, CA at Uncle Leroy's and Aunt Marilyn's. ... regional differences but the places we are seeing just do not have the local restaurants that can then specialise. Even the independent places just drop the same stuff in the same oil as the big chains.
Nice hotel tonight by 8 standards and another Mexican dinner. No dinner pics. If you want to see what we had for dinner, Google images Tacos. That should just about cover it.
... earlier, it took 12 hours normally from Bandung to Jepara (place for transit from bus to ship/boat to Karimun Jawa).
And then we slept.
- The bus we were using is PO Bus (Bus Patas) named Bandung Express. It cost us Rp85.000/person from Bandung to Jepara.
- The bus pool is located in Jl. Dr. Cipto, Bandung. Near the pool, you can find KFC, and Istana Plaza Mall.
