... and talked about their special ham, which is salted and hung to dry for up to 18 mths on the bone. the pigs are especially bred and fed exclusively on acorns (from all the holm oaks?) The Carrefour had a wonderful display of hams - the Jamon Iberico de Extramadura was 165e for a whole ham!!!! No wonder ...

The cliff opposite the Mirador viewing point was covered with nesting and roosting Griffon Vultures and the air was full of them too.


With help we saw - Griffon vultures, Black vultures, Black Storks with babies, a Peregrine Falcon, a Blue Rock Thrush, ...

Holm oaks and snowy mountains.
