      ... t cold at all but Val has said that it is the coldest it has been for the 8 years that he has been coming here. Well the wine tasting was really enjoyable and the talk about the vineyard and wine making very interesting. We tasted red only and I'm not really a red drinker but enjoyed the experience.       ... written a hundred times. We took the tours to the Palace Vecchio the Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace, the Michelangelo Museum and Galileo's Museum. We went through the duomo which was gratis, as were a few other sites. Cultural overload is a problem. When the attention span snaps it is sad finding oneself strolling through these magnificent galleries looking without concentrating. Some people just walk through. Saturation.

      ... which was just to die for and only 3 euro! Cheaper than chips! Photos I have uploaded include one of Billy at the Ducati Cafe in Rome. Billy and most of the wedding guests visited the cafe the night before the wedding so I didn't go but from all accounts it was a very cool place. However, on this occasion the credit card didn't come out unscathed.... Billy went a little loco and brought the shop out! ...

      ... I did not expect to feel a little uneasy. Perhaps it is the distinctive old smell of timber, stone and furniture, or the quiet that accompanies the vastness of this castle at night. Perhaps I was a little too tired !!!
