    ... was a mixture of perfectly manicured hedges and climbing rose bushes. Our guide took the group to the cellar where a table awaited us full of different wines, meats, cheeses and bruschetta.     ... were really food but it was so sweet I couldn't finish it. It took us 2 hours to get out of that restaurant. It probably took only a half hour total to order, wait for the food, and eat. The other hour and a half we just sat there laughing at how ignored we were. All the restaraunts we go to take so long. You literally have to ask for the check or they won't bring it. I've asked for it twice before anyone has brought it. I guess it's because everyone is so laid ...

    ... we had been to many of the sites without even knowing it. There are ancient ruins from the Roman Empire sitting underneath the buildings of the Christian reign. You can really see the layers off history.

    We will have to come back again some day.

    ... of wine, a salami plate, bruschetta, and I had a pasta dish that was purple due to the wine sauce. Francesco introduced me to an Italian dessert I'd never heard of before - chocolate pear pie. It is definitely a European style dessert, any American would deem it not sweet enough, but I enjoyed trying something different.
