    ... the car to hunt and gather our dinner. By this time, we are ready to come home. There is nowhere in site except a McDonald's. (But we can't eat at McDonald's when we are in Italy) So Guenther finally found a little place in between two boulevards that had a cold buffet.     Up early to finish off the packing of my box and an early breakfast so I can catch a taxi to the Post Office. Because the streets are closed for the bike race from 9:00 I needed to get the taxi by 8:30. The box weighed 13 kgs!!! It wasn't as expensive as I feared although I had decided it was all part of my European adventure. The hotel owners son very kindly printed out my boarding pass for my upcoming Ryan Air flight - not that sure that travelling with a budget airline is really ...

    ... frescos on the walls that mirror the Duomo and dark mahogany wood paneling. Such a warm atmosphere. The wine list is extensive and the menu exquisite. And, I am pleased to say that I finally had my first fabulous meal here in Firenze. I enjoyed a smooth, very well balanced, Brunello from Montalcino. Favuloso!     ... I did not expect to feel a little uneasy. Perhaps it is the distinctive old smell of timber, stone and furniture, or the quiet that accompanies the vastness of this castle at night. Perhaps I was a little too tired !!!
