    ... and I cleaned my entire plate. That is the first real breakfast I've had in 3 weeks. So that totally hit the spot. So after that my roommate and I had so much energy. We hadn't felt that good in days. So I was like lets go explore the city. So we spent a few hours wandering down some new streets until our feet felt like they were going to fall off.     ... trains in Milan (ridiculously busy, but with some highly fashionable folk), we arrived in Firenze. Our hotel was just outside Florence in a town called Signa, so required a quick local train into the sticks. Once again, in our overly prepared state we brought no map and had to ask in two hotels for directions, all whilst carrying our ever infuriating backpacks.

    ... I did not expect to feel a little uneasy. Perhaps it is the distinctive old smell of timber, stone and furniture, or the quiet that accompanies the vastness of this castle at night. Perhaps I was a little too tired !!!

    ... for soccer players and where children & old folks come to pass the time. One fellow was quite friendly, telling us how that lady's dog is only 4 years old and how big Firenze is. Fun!
