      ... outside a museum and sat outside in the shade for a while, then we walked to our place again and stayed out of the sun a bit more, walked to the place where the statue of David is, then found a cafe and had a drink, stayed there for a while then walked round finding cheap ice cream (double scoop again, mango and cherry), and sat outside a museum which had an orchestra playing til 11ish which was nice to listen to and relax, then came back to our room, Venice ...

      Last night we went to an English pub that was know for its different kinds of beer, which was really packed but really fun! I met an Italian that "studied abroad" at Pitt, Penn State Berks, and CMU. Its a small world after all! Then we went to this bar called Lion Fountain which is super fun (but very American).       ... I did not expect to feel a little uneasy. Perhaps it is the distinctive old smell of timber, stone and furniture, or the quiet that accompanies the vastness of this castle at night. Perhaps I was a little too tired !!!

      ... we finished eating all we could of the antipasta, we ordered the primi piatti - pesto ravioli. It was fair. The pesto was really good, but I wasn't sold on the pasta. I was expected a very delicate pasta, but I thought it was a little dry and somewhat tough. After we finished the primi piattie, we asked the waiter what he recommended for the secondi piatti.
