Ah, Florence... Tonight is my last night in this magnificent, historically rich city. Florence was really the city I always dreamed of visiting. I wanted to see Italy in general, but Brunelleschi's duomo was the cause for most of my day dreams for the past three years (at least). I wanted to see the Cathedral and climb the great dome before I died. Today, I did it!

That is just one of the many stories told about the artists and their work that have inhabited Florence. It was definitely a treat to get to see it all, and more than anything we were happy to meet such a lovely and friendly lady. Soon afterwards we checked out and began our drive to the Tuscany area. ... Just to kick start the night. From dinner we walked to the karaoke club, and all the boys got up to their usual shena****ns on the way. The karaoke club was super dark and I'm fairly certain I was already drunk by this point. The bathrooms were weird as ****. Italians seem to have no care about the difference between boys and girls bathrooms. The bathrooms here had a semi see through window between the two rooms. I knocked and waved at some of the random guys. ...
... There is a shuttle in to town and a bus stop not far away. We headed off to the bus stop but the rain just started bucketing down and then thunder and lightning. We had just got back to the hotel as we had one more question to ask of the staff so were glad we weren't outside. The kids were just settling into the xbox that's in reception when an american couple asked if we wanted to share a taxi with them into town so off we went, all packed in a little 7 seater ...
