    ... signage at station and no directions on hotel web site. Hotel 4 Viale Masini modern and comfy for 64e. Room faced Main Street to west and was 28deg when I arrived. Reception said law made them turn off aircon on 15 Oct!! Fortunately could open window a bit. Lunch at tabac/bar next door- cheese salad with good bread.     ... The butter Joanna used was white. I asked if they had yellow butter and she said no - all butter is white. I a. Intrigued as to what the difference is. Also when we were preparing lunch there was a lot of noise from children outside Joanna's window. She explained that the school down the road had finished for the day - it was bout 1pm.     ... from 16th to 18th century. The anatomy theatre was amazing - this is where dissections of corpses (from the hospital next door ) would occur. I ventured out to a trattoria not far from the hotel for dinner. I had pasta and salmon which was ok - nothing to really rave about though. The place was really busy - reminded me of Lygon street in Melbourne - pull the customers in and then ship then out as soon as they have finished so you can reuse the table as quickly as possible. ...
