      ... to Lucca, a small, quaint, Italian city surrounded by a still standing Roman wall. Knowing nothing about the place, other than it once had an amphitheatre which has since been converted into a circle of shops and restaurants, we were pleasantly surprised by what we discovered.

      The surprise also included the sunshine. Yes, between the downpour at Pisa and arriving at Lucca (a journey of about 25 minutes) the weather changed completely.
