... Pinocchio’s town. This time we hiked up to the town itself. Extremely steep! When we got about ¾ way, lightening and thunder began. Decided it was best to hike back down. Just beat the down pour! We also toured the Garzoni Villa grounds/ garden and butterfly house. A little disappointed that the Villa itself is closed.
... see the girls, we exchanged stories of our trip so far whilst sitting by the water before deciding to find the best wine bar in Monterosso to introduce the girls to the Spritzer.
Success!! The girls loved the Spritzer and just to make sure they did, another round was ordered.

Lucca has been a treat and has lived up to everything Hsing-ay had hoped for. It is beautiful, charming, lovely for walking, and very relaxed. Life in Lucca is great and we highly recommend it to anyone who wants something a bit different than Florence or Venice.
