Having gone into shock at the sight of a WHSmiths earlier in the day, we decided we couldn't be trusted to choose where to eat from the wealth of restaurants in Georgetown so opted to bow to the superior knowledge of Mr Stein! ... fills the main prayer hall and acts as a tranquilizer to the snakes. It makes them almost motionless. The picture of pythons and rattlers roaming the temple is not how it actually turned out. Once I got there, I discovered an area to the side of the temple filled with snakes in cages to look at. ... huge wave and I flew up in the air and came smashing down on tail bone (two back surgeries, 2007 and 2010) and lay on the deck moaning in agony. Fortunately it was not a new back injury but bilaterally smashed butt-bones that were causing all the pain and I recovered quickly with only a mildly bruised bottom. It was slightly reminiscent of bashed bottoms and bruised backsides in Battambang, but with less baby diarrhea.
