      From beautiful Brugge we drove south west to Ypres. Along the way we stopped at some of the war memorials to the fallen soldiers. All this area is part of Flanders. We stopped at the Tyne Cot cemetery. It is the biggest commonwealth memorial. It was quite surreal looking at the walls knowing every name on the wall represents a soldier whose body was never found or identified.

      Having not done an awful lot since my Round The World Trip other than Graduating, I went with some of my uni friends to Lille in France for a day trip to see the Christmas Markets.

      It was a really long day, getting up at 3:45am to drive to Chingford, and not arriving back home until 1:20am the next morning...but it was a lot of fun! Great to spend some time ...

      Hi all,

      A few weeks ago we ended up in Skegness for a night, and couldn't remember why we booked there. Well, it's happened again. We travelled from Amiens this arvo and arrived in Lille to steady rain, and we don't remember why we booked here.

      The only reason I can think we booked here is that we needed to change trains in Lille to get to Ieper in Belgium, which the French and us usually spell Ypres. In any case we're in a comfortable ...
