The fourth of July has come and gone, unless I suppose you're on the west coast the US - you guys still have a few hours of it. Here in Japan, it wasn't much to speak of - for fairly apparent reasons.

Well all the best laid plans and all that jazz. I had my day so meticulously planned and that was my first mistake, I eventually found the Ceramics museum after doubting myself and finally getting to where I had corectly being heading in the first place. It was closed for the week so I just meandered around looking at the rose garden which was lovely even if not in bloom. The Japanese were out in force taking pictures of the cherry blossoms and eating in the sun. ...

It's amazing how fast our first month in Japan has gone by! We've both started teaching, but will be only subbing for the next month. We are still guaranteed all our hours, so sometimes we just get called for a "sub stay". In that case, we go to a school to hang out and help out where we can for the day. Most times we've been able to pick up classes from other teachers to give them a break and give us some experience! Otherwise ...
