Zakynthos is a rather small island in the Ionian Sea and it can be easily reached. If you go by car you will arrive by ferry in Zante, the capital of the island. On Friday evening, the bus from Corinth didn't leave until 8pm so as we waited at the bus station, we had some common Greek food that you see at convenience stores. We had some little pastry type things that they said in English was a cheese pie. It was a thick flaky pastry bread filled with feta cheese. We all split a chocolatey type one too. They were extremely good! Eventually the bus came and we left Corinth close to a half ...

Isn't that funny? I love sun, heat, swimming-pool, seaside, but I got bored in such conditions on Zakynthos. I thought as if I was in a cage. Touristic zone, small Porta Koukla, near Laganas - was too small for the city dweller like me. One restaurant and two shops when I could pay with credit cards. Is it EU at all? With such a huge touristic demand and therfore experience they didn't think much of the facilities.
