... something that hurt. I kept going, thinking it was a sharp rock, then the woman next to me told me I must put on my shoes. That seemed like good advice, so I did, but it was too late. I had cut my foot but didn't see it till I was out of the water.

There was no point getting into togs - the water was so shallow that paddling was as effective as trying to swim, and it was a little murky too. Who knows what was in there, but I'm sure I wasn't the only one ...

The day was spent walking all around Macau,including Senado square and the ruins of St Paul's church which was destroyed by a fire leaving only the front facade. In between the streets are very lively. We went up Fortaleza do Monte, a 16th Century fort overlooking the peninsula and home to the Museum of Macau which was very interesting. We watched the sunset for the top of the hill and walked back to the ferry terminal. ...

... li> I decided to go back to GZ and try on my own. For some reason, they didn’t seem to like me having a Chinese helper (the admin from work went with me the day before). Here is that process:

  1. Go to the 5th floor for a ticket to go to the 3rd floor to pay.
  2. Go to the 3rd floor to pay.
  3. Return to the 5th floor to get new visa in passport.
