... a quick bite before the Robot show. I didn't go to Nakajima, the Michelin-starred restaurant in the area (too expensive and not enough time) so I strolled by the train tracks to Omoide-yokocho, an exciting, hopping alleyway of Yakitori (chicken skewers) joints packed next to each other for a quick bite. I had to hurry up after and make it to the other side of the tracks to get to the Robot Restaurant.

Flew from Nanjing to Tokyo for the start of our three day break as we have an extra Chinese holiday to celebrate The Chinese Victory over the War of Aggression against Japan and the Allied Victory over Fascism! Got a taxi with a lovely suited and booted taxi driver (they all wear white shirts and ties) in a beautiful Toyota with white lace seat covers to the Prince Park Tower Tokyo. The taxi cost 110GBP as taxis are expensive here, unlike China. ...

... the BBC documentary when we get home. Dinner was stand up sushi bar by the station and take out noodles.
We are joining a 12 day Japan tour on May 27th. Drove to the grounds of the imperial palace for a photo op, followed by a visit to the Asakusa Kanon temple which was erected following 2 brothers who fished up a statue of Kanon, the god of protection, that they were not able to put back into the river. ... had to ask for wifi, amd book the tixkets I nline. after a bit of frustration (tthe jaoanese were very helpful though) we grt in and make a plan. It wasnt that busy as it was a momday amd a bit ovwrcast. So we only needed one fast pass. We got all the rides in, and a few shows. One jazz show that was amazing!! The rides were all fun too.
