The weather all around had turned really grey by now and looked extremely stormy. A mighty wind had also got up but the good thing was it was blowing towards the north and the same direction I was heading. However bad the weather was it certainly was not cold and the temp remained up at about 19 most of the day.

Sunday 21st Sept Pula - Rovinj We had a late night as we did our washing in the shower and sink because we had a towel warmer to dry our clothes on . ( this practise is shunned upon so we have to dry overnight ) Breakfast was at 10.30 , I don't how we fell into this trap of late starts and late evenings but it sure shortens your day . We drove 20 minutes south to the seaside town of Pula ...

... I went to the supermarket, but ended up using a credit card to buy some reminders of the trip (can't say what they are right now as that will spoil the surprise, assuming Dad and Sam are reading this :)). (Ed note, as I'm home now, bought a little bottle of liqueur for Dad and some truffled mushrooms).

I had dinner with Dianne, Ray, Chris, Colleen and Leonine. Dianne and I shared half a pizza and salad and a ...
