The drive from Plitvice to Opitija started gloomily - rain, cloud blah - there was a nice little town built right on the streams with water going through and under the houses (Sklunj Pomelvica).

Passed a few depressing towns where there have been wars raging for centuries. Some trees and farms but still a little depressing until we came …

To start our day on the bus, Jim did a presentation of a chocolate cookie to Vlaho and a peanut cookie to the driver. Then Pennisue had bought a Tesla mug from all of us as a present to Vlaho. We're parked right next to the water. Hopefully it's a bit more sheltered and not as windy as last night! The island is so quiet, we can't believe how quiet it is, nor imagine how busy it must be in summer! Everything is closed. But we quite like having all the roads and beaches to ourselves ...

... to be at the ocean we went for a swim! We had heaps of fun jumping off the cliff and rock hopping. After a sandwich and rest on the rocky beach we hiked to the blue caves at U. Zanja beach. We swam out to the caves and headed in. It was so cool! The water so blue; we were illuminated! We didn't stay in for long, and headed back to land to watch the sun start to set. A 40 minute hike back to Percy and we watched the sunset. A cracker day! So happy to be by the ...
