Eleanor was singing with the guitar first thing in the morning while I danced. The red around my tick bite was fading, thankfully, and so I happily told myself that my future health was fine. For my distant family to accept this was another matter, even my mother now writing with quite some persistence that if I didn't take antibiotics I could end up dead. We went for our lush breakfast in the conservatory of the Son Triay, and George was soon playing with a water pistol by the pool. ...

A lovely buffet breakfast greeted our awakening along with hot sun and blue skies. As is the way of George he was in the swimming pool soon after breakfast. Already having a tick wound I soon enough acquired another bite close to it as the farms black cat which snuggled up to my legs all of a sudden sunk its teeth into me. There are times when you are landing at an airport, or when taking in the place during those first few miles of driving in your hire car that you think "this has a nice feel" - Menorca was one of those places. Flying in it seemed green and lush (and being a small island that should be expected), the roads were well maintained and lined with dry stone walls - if there were some potholes and some rain you could possibly almost have been at home as there is a certain British ...

      Day 39

A travel blog entry by 4girls on Aug 08, 2014

Sleeping in until noon we had to quickly get ready to meet the group for our canoe session. We walked to the town square where our tour manager found out we had already missed the bus as she tad been told the wrong time. This meant one thing...Off to Burger King for breaky. We all got taxis to Cara Morell beach and enjoyed the afternoon in the beautiful water until Alana got stung by a jelly ...
