We stayed at the Afonso Guest house for three days, the staff were extremely helpful and the rooms very clean. A nice rooftop chill out area whuch serves breakfast in the morning. Scooter hire was also available which is a must to get around and see everything. We had looked at 2 other guest houses / hotels before arriving at Afonso, it was by far the the best and cheapest and happiest place. Would highly recomend it.

We arrived in Panaji the Capital of Goa, the cleanest town/city we had been to so far. We did however have problems finding a nice hotel, 3 places we went to, which were dirty and too expensive, marching about with our heavy packs in the midday sun wasn't much fun. We did finally find a really nice place in Afonso Guest house, the cheapest and …

... fear in the hearts of the non-believers dragged before the Goan Inquisitors (Religion…such an eye opener!)

The town is situated on the banks of the Mandovi River and is split into two by the Ourem Creek. It was over this creek we needed to go to sort out our onward travel to Southern Goa. According to LFP private operators had buses running to most of the beach areas there. On arrival at the vast bus station it was the usual ...

the Med, or Portugal, it would have been any other town.

Back in
Panjim we had a good room which I have to say we spent a lot of the time
in using up the air conditioner and the Simpsons Marathon that was
playing on TV. It seems coming to the end of the trip and with belly
aches a go go, the luxury of air con, bed and TV are just all too
convenient.

A long one this time

... I said that as we were that far, we might as well go along with it. Big mistake. When we got to the studio, we were greeted by an Indian dwarf - I kid you not. We were then sat down in a makeshift make up room and given breakfast. After we ate, we waited about an hour before we got called. We were told we'd be given costumes but ended up just doing it in our normal clothes, which for me happened to be old comfy clothes - not particularly attractive... Our task ...
