... hour delay to refill with gelato, visit an ATM and see a barber (more on that in another blog). We arrived in Manfedonia just as it was getting dark to a 4 room B&B over looking the harbor in the center of town. That evening the streets were decorated and packed with people to celebrate the festival of St Francis. They even broadcast mass on street speakers all over town. We rode in the rain today, along a busy road with big trucks, then we got lost. Actually getting lost was not my fault. The map was incorrect. It showed a road direct to our destination, but when we got there the road was blocked by a large pile of rocks to prevent cars from going through. Fortunately bikes are not cars.
