... had overcharged us the day before. But what are you going to do? We picked up the car and Julie made sure to take a photo of the lady that served us and notated all of the things she told us regarding insurance etc. We got to the car and Julie gave the car a very thorough inspection. In fact Kelly thought Lesley had missed her flight home and joined us in Italy. (In fact Lesley's surrogate daughter may be putting her hat into the ring for the title ...

... in the town of Riomaggiore(Cinque Terre), met our contact for our apartment and were settled in by 1:30pm. Our apartment is up three stories of very steep steps (almost like climbing a ladder). We went on a walking tour of the town and found it to be an amazingly unique and charming town. We loved spending time at the Harbor. It's rocky shore and stone walls took us to a time when pirates invaded the coast and ships came in to load wine into merchant ships. We began ...

... hostel. To our surprise the group of obnoxious Americans was already checking in... Small world eh!? Once we got our turn, the man named Lucato at the desk told us to walk down to the bar (one minute walk back down the hill) and a man named Antonio would be waiting for us there. There was also some confusion about which room we were in, so he told us to come back in the morning because we might be switched to a better room with less beds and a kitchen. Anyways, off we went to the bar. ...
