Hit another old town, Vilnuis in the afternoon. Was nice. Cobbled, uneven, hell-for-people-with-disabilities streets, ornate churches, colourful old buildings, wrinkling and slightly grumpy postcard sellers etc.

... cab and went in search of this other option. However, as it was Sunday, all we found was a closed car dealership, which may or may not have held a car rental place inside. Therefore, we resigned ourselves to a cold, late night and instead turned the cab around towards our primary destination, the Hill of Crosses.

Trakai is now more a village than a town and has many old wooden houses and frozen lakes (locals were ice hole fishing) It is a part of a national and historical park. Connected by two walkways and ...
