Corfu was surprisingly warm today, around the mid 70s, which was warm enough for us to spend some time at the Aqualand water park. I've never been to a larger water park and we make is just in time before they closed for the winter. Me and my buddies played around until it began to get cool towards the late afternoon.

This morning we visited the ...
Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece mylifesjourney... chocolate-chocolate covered pretzels from my parents. Thanks mom and dad! (See? Again, I wanted to say mum and dad. I think I'm becoming an ex-pat. Oh, brother.)

The weather for the first two days was frigid. Down-right blustery. It's all anybody on the ship could talk about. Apparently we all were hoodwinked by the weathermen on that one. But finally today, the sun came out to visit and it was a pretty day. And tomorrow's high is expected to be 76 degrees in Athens ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece josiezim... seeing and pick up the clean clothes on the way home – the laundry he took us to was closed so it looked like we would smell until the end of the cruise. He dropped us at the Acropolis - it was very hot, crowded and commercialised. However a nostalgic moment happened for Chris as he remembered sitting on the steps of the Pantheon when he was five years old, hence was disappointed that it was all now roped off and so much of it was covered in ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece sewtersojourns... in albanian and she got up and went with him. Nuts! Also this man was asleep on a chair near us and he kept hacking up chest stuff and spitting it on the floor. We could have upgraded to a cabin but it would have cost an extra 50 euros so we had to rough it out. And rough is exactly how the see got worse and worse till in the end at like 7am the man came around and gave everyone sick bags we had one between me Katy and Ian and was wondering who was going to use it first ...

Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece traceybelle... on the beach located at the bottom of the resort. To get active, we kayaked around the shoreline, finding secluded beaches and towering cliffs. Otherwise, we just enjoyed the location and value of the hotel - including the dinner, a home-cooked smorgasboard of Greek cuisine. All in all, one of our top vacations!
Agios Gordis, Greece shell_stein... the border. We arrived Albania at 8:00 and decided to play it safe and take a 1 hour, 30 euro taxi ride directly to Saranda, the beach town where we wanted to hang out. Its the 23rd and we had to meet Greg, flying in from San Francisco, on the 26th in Kotor, North Montenegro. Arriving Saranda, we quickly realized that transportation is horrible. There are no bus stations... just lots where buses and furgons (mini-vans) tend to hang out. We would figure out 'bus ...
Saranda and Tirana, Albania mjlankers... the calm waters. Plastic bottles bob on the waves and everywhere on the land the same plastic bottles along with beer bottles, cigarette packets, sun cream containers and carrier bags clog roadside ditches or overflow from bins along streets.

The closer one gets to the mountain the more peaceful the scene becomes. As we climbed higher on the coastal road, leaving the devastation of Ipsos below us, the ground becomes too rough and sun baked even for the ...
