This morning we woke up to grey skies and to be honest, a bit of a chilly morning! The house keepers come around quite early at this place so we were up early to check out, however we had an hour or so before our taxi arrived to take us across to Imerovigli. ... we started to look around for a bus that could take us the 10km to Fira. Suddenly I caught sight of a guy holding a board that said "Antonia Apartments", so I walked over to him hoping that maybe he could give us a lift as that is where we were booked in - we had not told them how or when we were arriving.Turns out this guy, Lefteris had just dropped a couple of guests down at the port and thought he would hang around in case we were ...

From here we just explored the famous blue and white buildings and the stunning views. We met up with Ammo later in ...

Before heading back to the hotel and trying our luck again, we went to Fira's Archeological Museum. It's a small museum and contains objects from ancient Akrotiri and Thira and some other Cycladic figurines. It was amazing to see the detail and fine pottery work, especially knowing that it was more than 3,500 years old.

To our great relief, we were able to check in at our hotel when we arrived there at 11h00. The ...

... There are the two volcanic
islands Nea Kameni and Paela Kameni, and finally the smallest island
Aspronisi. The caldera consists of the space in the sea between all of
the Santorini islands. The Caldera view is breathtaking magnificent.

Our shuttle picked us up and brought us to the new port of Thira where we embarked on a boat adventure. We stared with a hike up Nea Kameni the biggest of the volcanic ...
