We sailed from Kusadasi to Marmaris overnight, we were out of bed early to watch the sun come up between the islands as we sailed into Marmaris Harbour, the views were picturesque, well worth our early morning rise. We had to vacate our rooms by 9am, we left the ship about noon, bused it to Dalaman ready to board ...

... mosques in the world with 6 minarets for a photo shoot. From there we walked to the Grand Bazaar, selling all fake handbags, shoes, clothing, jewellery, perfume etc, too much to take in. It is custom to barter in the markets, 3.50 Turkish lira equals £1. Instanbul is very western, a very busy city with lots to see I would visit again if I had the chance. We are currently sailing towards Lesbos, we are expected to dock at 9.30am tomorrow. Temperature ...

We stocked up on fruit (apricots - my fave!), fresh vegetables and some delicious pastries and some honey to make our favourite Greek dessert - what's known here as Kadeyif (shoestring pastry with pistachio nuts soaked in honey - delicious!). Satisfied with our purchases we began the 40 minute trek back to the villa, but by this point the temperature had reached around 38 degrees so the walk, laden with the items we had ...

We wake up to the alarm at 6am feeling a little worse for wear after the 2am finish. Last nights activities may be a contributing factor. Sean finds it very hard to get up, very hard. We have docked on the island of Rhodes the hottest of all the Greek Islands, which could be due to the fact the entire city is surrounded by a 12 meter stone wall. First up we are booked on an acropolis tour in the town of Lindos, which is a 50 minute bus ...

Boating on the Bonetkoning Part 1

Not only did we have beautiful scenery and a great time with friends and family, we also learned about sailing an 82ft boat. The Bonetkoning was built in 2005 and is completely computerized and state of the art. I had no idea you could put a boat like it on auto pilot and then change its course with a mouse. We had seen pictures of the boat online but in person it was even more beautiful and very ...
