We left Idaho on June 6th, after an amazing bike ride in the Grand Tetons. We rode from Moose Junction to Jenny Lake. The ride was a gentle up hill all the way. We reminisced about our prior visit 34 years ago with 3 infant girls. What a wonderful time we had then hiking around Jenny Lake! On the 7th we hightailed it across Montana. Bill was a ...

Traveled today from Grand Portage, MN to Bemidji, MN. On the way, we missed Betty's Pies. The parking lot was packed full, no place for the truck and coach.

Bemidji is the home of Paul Bunyan and his blue ox Babe. We checked out the statue by Lake Bemidji while on our way to dinner. We will spend the overnight here and head to Detroit Lakes, MN tomorrow.

What a beautiful country we live in and everyone should take the time to enjoy it. As my father always said, "Take the time to stop and smell the roses."

The next stop will be a park named after a president. It will be two days travel so we won't be on line for a couple of days.

Gas prices range from $3.29 to $3.39. Not too bad, eh? Grateful for cooler day, but still muggy. Chinese-laundry didn't dry overnight! The head of Mississippi River is located in a heavily treed Lake Itasca SP near Bemidji, MN. Not as dynamic ...

    Something fishy...

... Each time we passed over it we would pull in 2-4 more fish. We ended up with a total of 31 for the morning...16 perch, 12 rock bass, 2 bluegill/sunfish, and the walleye. Not bad for a morning of fishing!

The afternoon was spent cleaning fish (Tom), reading and napping (Linda), and playing games and swimming (the kids). The weather was absolutely beautiful ...
