There's really not much to say about Reno, so this will be a very short entry.
We literally just spent a night in Reno with no purpose except to sleep in a bed for the night en route to Oregon.

... necessary. We also did a little sightseeing and reconnoitering.
Our new church is St. Alberts. It is located about ten miles from home. St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral is a few mile farther. We have found that nothing is extremely close to our new home with the nearest supermarket seven miles away and major shopping malls fifteen to twenty. Good thing gas is less expensive here than in California!

So much to do, so little time. We drove along a winding road that snaked through green pine forests until we arrived at the start of the gondola lift. The resort area,was dominated by a very large black woolly mammoth statue and the car park,area was cordoned off in preparation for the bluegrass festival to be held the following day.
