... Weather was pretty iffy most of the day but was a very scenic route. Stopped at Astoria at the Best Western - good hotel - rate $108 plus $15 for George. Was clean and relatively new. Ate dinner at the Ship Inn which was a good seafood place. Basic and definitely not fine dining but good ...

... hopefully next year it will be better......George started drooling before we hit Westbank and threw up his breakfast (note to self not to let him eat before we leave) before we got to Penticton. He continued drooling on and off most of the day! Border crossing was easy and quick. A lot of questions were asked about our snow bird status - i.e. proof of our residency in Canada. ... lol
Dinner tonight as we didn't have lunch, was down in a little German or Alpine style restaurant with snitzels & sauerkraut and some red wine straight from the cask and quite disgusting. We were serenaded by an 80 year old Piano Accordion player with hearing aides in both ears. So we toe tapped our way through our meal.
Back in our wonderfully decorated room its down time and the TV is on. Tomorrow is another day and where it leads us who knows..
