    We headed out of town to Achilleion Palace, the retreat for the Empress Elizabeth of Austria. We had learned about her life when we were in Vienna last year. She built this house in Corfu in late 19th century style and decorated it with Gods of Ancient Greece, primarily Achilles for which the palace is named.     What a truly lazy day this was..... I did absolutely nothing all day, but read, work on my pictures, and go to Old Town with Jacques and Marina for shopping and dinner. Jacques had rented a small little car, with air conditioning (thank goodness), since it was 95+ degrees, and no air movement in Gouvia Harbor..
