... this place. Really amazing. The ancient buildings and fort were definitely a highlight for me. We went out for tea and had some fresh local seafood, so good. The 4 South African girls also decided to show up after 2 days and we all went out partying. The whole night was a bit of a blur really.. I had a shot at this club called a tequila boom.. They put an army helmet on your head and beat the **** out of you ...

5am start this morning to drive to Lake Plitvice via Zagreb. 4 hours drive. Started of foggy, make that very foggy, not being able to see 50 metres ahead, but cleared by the time we got to Zagreb. Then another 1 1/2 hours to the Lake Plitvice National Park. The day now is starting to warm up. We purchased out tickets st gate 2 and found a restaurant for breakfast before starting the first part of the walk. First a bus to the top of one of the lakes then a 1 1/2 hour walk ...

... our backpacks. This would be nice to not have to carry them around for the next 7 hours but again, always a bit strange to let go of everything we own and trust that these lockers really do lock and that our backpacks will be there when we come back to retrieve them. We have used lockers or a bag check in many cities and countries and so far...all is fine which is also the case today in Split. We start walking to Old Town Split and I swear, every few feet a kiosk ...

... towards the boat to try and track everyone down. On the way we bumped into two of my friends from Sydney, Bec and Liam, who had been sailing around as well. We promised to meet up with them the next night, said goodbye and headed to our boat. We found most people sitting up on deck, too tired to brave the town. After chatting for a while and saying our goodbyes Joe and I we straight back to the apartment and straight to bed. ...
