If yesterday was chill, today was upbeat. I don't know where the people came from, but this 70 degree day in Split brought everyone and their mom out to enjoy the weather today along the waterfront. ... the highest point on the island for a good viewpoint. We had to walk some of the way in certain steep places as the scooters were not coping. This viewpoint was amazing and we could see the sun setting into the ocean on one side, and the moon over the ocean on the other. Pretty good! ... and it was so nice enjoying that with wine while the sunset over the farm. I've smashed my phone screen so selfies are now a lot less frequent (you're welcome!!) but I still got one or two. Today is a national holiday today celebrating Croatia's independence, and so a free concert was set up on the wharf where we docked. ... 8220;What the hell just happened??!!”

As we got on the coastal road heading for Split the most amazing BBQ like smell came through the car windows and there on the side of the road were 2 hog roasts turning slowly on their spits for the lucky lunchtime customers that would devour them, shame we had just had breakfast!

The drive to Split was fabulous and we saw many inviting islands ...

A 7:00 AM ferry was our one and only chance off the island of Vis Croatia and as I already said, we could have stayed there for many more days but it was time to move on to see what else there is to see. We caught the ferry on time, no problem well except that the place we thought we were to buy tickets was closed until 9:00AM and the gate keeper dude at the ferry pointed across the harbor where they were selling them for this early ferry.
