Once the rain had slowed enough we walked back to the hotel to put the feet up for a bit.
Wandered just down the road for dinner at a nearby Ristorante.
Off to Levanto and Cinque Terre tomorrow.
Au Revoir Nice, back on the train again today, stay was too short. Train travel has been very easy and enjoyable so far apart from that one leg where it was very hot and stuffy.
Catch the Train from Nice Ville to Genova Piazza Principe on the Trenitalia Thello, had four seats to ourselves for most of the way. Travelled through Monte Carlo, San Remo and all along the coast to Genoa.
... lift!!! Hotel was simple but nice. AC was pumping and that was the main thing as it was bloody hot! Jules got the low down in where to go in Genoa from our host and we soon set off on a late afternoon/evening tour of the city. Genoa/Genova is a city with amazing architecture and lots of little lane ways and streets. Our review of the travel books told us it was a relatively safe city but not to go down any ...

... but on the interior you see the structure, too, and then draw your eye out to the skyline. I just think this is a very pretty, elegant modern building.
Here is another one. The Vitra House by the same designers (out of Basel, Germany). While at first it looks like a pile of twigs, it is really smart and lovely on the inside.
