The big day, a certain calmness descended over the city. The crowds were smaller, the hustle and bustle was less but it was still New York. A quick visit to the tree and ice rink at the Rockefella centre, no I did not join in.

We finally managed to score tickets to a Carnigie Hall tour. I ventured to the box office and arrived at 11am on the dot and scored two. The tour was set for 2pm so we took it easy in the room before heading out and I spent some time discovering the massive Christmas decorations along 6th avenue.
