We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

... br> We ordered some room service, and what we didn't eat we packed up for lunch tomorrow on shore. We will be docking at Katakolon at 7 a.m. From there, we hope to catch a train in to Olympia to see the site of the first Olympic games.

When our french fries were gone, I circled back to the theater to catch the end of the show. Picking up right where we'd left off, I saw the rest of the show. It was alright. I think it would have been better without the interruptions.

... thing we saw when we visited the monasteries was the tabula which is wooden clapper that is sounded by the prior to summon the monks. The wooden board symbolizes Noah calling the animals to the ark to save them from the flood. Another intersting symbol used in the Orthodox religion is the six pointed star or the star of creation. The six points stand for the six days of creation and the six attributes of God: power, wisdom, majesty, ...
