Our Peloponnese tour has had to come to an end, and the ferry taking us to Italy is calling. It is with deep regret we didn't have more time in Greece. It seems like this has been a common theme this year. Vanning here has been a breeze, with lovely sites, cheap, delicious food and free camping abundant. Though I guess we better not leave Laura’s sister abandoned at the airport in Rome.

As I said above the ship was meant to leave at 2pm but 2pm came and went and only at about 3pm did I finally get aboard the ferry.

... we drove to the ferry. After some trial and error and asking a food card guy we found the right ferry to cross the water that the Rio bridge crosses to mainland Greece. It was interesting to drive onto the ferry and have the ferry man make us do a U-turn on the deck so we would be facing the right direction to exit the ferry. The semi's that loaded had to back on or back off.

We drove off the ferry and followed th signs to Nafpaktos (the other ...

... There was a large, slightly chubby dog with black fur only around one eye that was just beautiful. Another large very lanky dog had very red eyes and just looked all around morose. There was also a very skinny young cat wandering through the bushes. Just as I was getting quite depressed watching this and wanting to cuddle them, an older lady walked over with a large bag and a large bottle of water. Over the next half an hour she poured the water in several bowls and put ...
