Not much sleep on 6 hr flight over but. Un eventful flight leaving 35 minutes late but arriving only 20 minutes late. At that hour of the morning it really didn't matter as we had no idea by the time we got to out hotel if we were going to be able to check in or what was going to happen. We took a taxi after having the easiest passport control check and non existent customs check we have ever had anywhere, and arrived ...

... felt like they were trying to show off how many sharks and large sting rays they could fit into what would feel like a bathtub! We also saw the world tallest building the Burj Khalifa and spent a long time in the hot sunshine trying to fit it into a photo! When we arrived back at the hotel we were shattered, so went up to our room for a quick nap at 6pm before dinner....we woke up at 6am... opps we must have needed a very long sleep! On Friday we spent a lovely morning ...

The Jurmeriah Scariah is there intense thrill ride, you stand in an enclosed tube, the countdown begins and the floor simply disappears, free fall for 3 storeys then accelerate down the ride - Wow. We tried the ...

... The smell of friendly herbs, new scarfs and unwashed rugs penetrates my nose. Coming from our luxury-apartment this is like a holiday on just 15 minutes drive. We work our way through the gold souk and find ourselves facing the Creek. Boats with people are sailing to the other side, but how to get there. We ask a local, who in bare English tells us "one Dhiram". We don't get him at first, so we ask a harbor-employee. "Roundtrip? 130 Dhirams ...

After a quick late night flight from Amman, we landed in Dubai for our 22 hour layover. Just enough time to crash, shower, eat, shop, and check out the tallest building and free standing structure on Earth, the Burj Khalifa. Standing 828 meters tall, it towers above the Dubai skyline. You may or may not know this, but I've got a bit of a thing for tall buildings, so I was pretty excited. The Burj Khalifa tops the next tallest building by almost 200 ...
