Weather has been glorious here today, blue sky and sunshine. we are unable to upload our photos currently so can't share those today. Also having mega probs with phones receiving anything!! Wow, Dubai is a vast city! Explored on the tram and hover-rail which are nicely air conditioned. Ken is happier tonight as he finally found somewhere to buy a beer! Not looking forward to tomorrow's 13 hour flight to Melbourne - I do hope there is a tail ...

... I found out I was moving to Dubai. The 8th largest mosque in the world, the mosque covers over 30 acres with flawless white marble and a cavernous interior featuring the largest carpet in the world and some of the largest chandeliers in the world. We spent just shy of 2 hours at the mosque in a sea of tourists marveling at one of the most impressive buildings I've ever encountered. Following the Mosque, we visited another tourist attraction- ...

... Finally, I ended the visit by walking a little bit along Dubai creek. The creek was actually pleasant to walk around. I could see a couple of boats passing by and the scenery with the boats was pretty nice. After the creek, I headed back to the airport early at 7pm due to having nothing else in the city peak my interest enough to carry on.

      Recap:

Overall the second visit to Dubai wasn't as amazing for me as my first visit. It definitely could have been the ...

... my fault - misguided by someone we asked). Also misplaced my map.

At night when Dubai becomes more exciting head to the new Souq area of the Dubai mall and watch the fountain display. Every half hour the fountains complete a choreographed song with water, music and lights. Got quite wet as the water spurts up several storeys high. Again another Guiness World record holder. It can spray 83,000 litres of water 500 feet in the air at any moment. Amazing.
