... so we had to go up in the lift. At the top there was a shop and we bought some postcards and a magnet and 2 jigsaws but we haven't done them yet. ... we pushed our way to San Marco square for the midday festa della Marie which is the official opening of the ceremony. Unfortunately our view wasn't the best. ... in search of new pads for a day or so. We found them this afternoon in Venice but they needed to be ordered so won't be in till tomorrow morning. Hence the second night in Venice. Not keen for a repeat performance (literally) of last night we headed out round the peninsula in the hope of a quieter, cooler night. We had a walk along the beach, which Logan was staggered at (see photo) and he had a cool down swim - his first in the sea!
