... lot of encounters with the Peregrine Falcons, both circling above us as we drive the long roads on the west coast, and launching themselves from the road and their dinner as we drive towards them. They really are incredible birds and another example of the wildlife, in particular the birds, which can be seen all over the two islands. ... you actually see it its hard to comprehend.
After the botanical gardens we had to do some clothes shopping so it was back to the mall. Although its coming into summer here its a similar climate to the UK so we both need a few bits just to make sure we are prepared lol.
We are going to hire some bikes from the hostel tomorrow and venture towards the red zone, the worst hit areas of the city, should be an interesting day. ...

We had a slow start to the morning after our late arrival the night before and walked to New Regent Street for breakfast/brunch. The shops were all painted in various pale pastel shades which looked very attractive. We went to a coffee shop and had scrambled eggs and coffee served by Japanese staff.
