... are gigantic and the mountains are continuous! Some highlights for me were: Punakiki - aka. pancake rocks. The strata of these rocks kinda looks like pancakes. The rocks have been around a heng of a long time yet scientists still can't quite grasp how or why they are quite as they are. After we packed and sorted the van out, we headed to the hotel we had booked for the night to drop off our bags and then we headed off to drop off the van. All that done we walked back into the town centre for a coffee or in my case a tea. This we done in New Regent Street! ... evening sunshine and the rare site of penguins leaving the water and entering the beach. Although we had seen them in Phillip Island in Australia, it was still amazing to see them here.
