... not too bad.

Mum and dad are back tomorrow, and then Thursday I will be flying off Island, seeing my grandparents, and then staying with fellow intrepid explorer Rebecca Dodds, before leaving on Friday for China.

I hope I am ready... oh, and I hope that STA employees start sorting themselves out and replying to emails and phone calls, as I am starting to get a teensy bit annoyed. I can feel a complaint letter coming ...

... for 14 years already, and come to the Manx every year :). How great is that!

We ended up at the same place Terry, the Motel owner had suggested. We paid 5 pounds each and got to sit right against the road at the second turn in an S-bend around 2 miles from the start, and we stayed there for the rest of the day, watching 2 races of 4 laps each.

It was really interesting to sit and talk to them ...

Altra giornata di trasporti vittoriani: qui sull’isola è come ritornare indietro nel tempo. Abbiamo raggiunto Port Erin sulla Manx Steam Railway, la ferrovia d’epoca meglio conservata al mondo. La locomotiva a vapore che ci ha trainati, sbuffando un fumo denso e profumato, sulle verdi colline della parte sud dell’isola, risale agli ultimi anni del diciannovesimo secolo. Persino le sei o sette stazioni in cui il treno si ferma sfoggiano arredi ...
