The realities of homecoming!
... any gifts for the kids yet so a shopping expedition is getting higher and higher on the list.
And so it goes. But please don't read this entry as a complaint. We are so lucky to have our wonderful, comfortable home here. Yes, it demands upkeep and when we leave for an extended period of time is shouldn't come as a surprise to us that things need attention.
We are looking forward to the fast approaching holidays, but now need to take care of business!

Home sweet home
... when I climb in and out of my car I lament that we do so much driving here because everything is so far apart.
So, while there's no place like home, I wish I could blend the best of each of them together.
It now just a few weeks until the holidays. With the planned visit of Jennifer and her family we have much to do. First order of business...find that Christmas tree stand!

Home for the Holidays!
Yes...we're finally back home. After seven months away, I feel a little like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, clicking my heels together and chanting "There's No Place Like Home!"

Then, we headed over to another beach (no surprise)!! We went to Bradenton Beach which of course is in Bradenton. Not too far from where we currently live. What a nice beach. Not a great selection of shells but nice to walk. There was a set-up for a wedding on the beach. Seemed that the tide ...
Nokomis Beach and Pelican Alley
Today we traveled south to Venice. Great weather in the low 80's and sunny and I was craving a beach, shelling and SUN!!! Water was comfortable. Lots of shells collected. On a side note regarding shells, I had to stop at TJ Max on the way home to get a nice container to put all the shells in. Will include a picture of that later on.
