We had an action packed day. We began with a walk along the caldera in the capital city of Santorini, Fira. Fira offers amazing views over the Mediterranean Sea and the other islands. We caught the cable car down the hill to the port and then cruised off in our own private Gulet boat. We headed towards the active volcano on the island of Nea Kameni: the last eruption of this was volcano was in the 1950s. We hopped off ...

It's basically a vertical climb up to Santorini, very scary for me, Aaron of course loved it :) we were starving on arriving so we sat down in a restaurant called Zafora, which was right on the edge of the cliff and overlooked the water, islands, ship etc. It ...

... t come cheap, with most caldera-view hotels charging astronomical prices. If you go for the spa and infinity pool too then you need to take out a mortgage just to go on holiday. We managed to find a great place with its own private terrace overlooking the caldera and 360 views. We had a jacuzzi bath and a whole living room/kitchen downstairs of our bedroom upstairs that opened out onto the addictive terrace, all for a reasonable price. And the ...
