... the edge of a crater), I took a donkey ride while ray rode up in a cable car. It was a perfect sunny but cool day to meander around this beautiful place and snap lots of pictures. This was by far the most touristic place of all the islands, full of international tourists (lots of young Asian couples), packed souvenir stores and restaurants. We saw only one big cruse ship anchored in the bay and was glad that our little boat could ...

At the top of the mountain we did a little walking through the town and checked out a few of the shops. We hadn’t seem much the night before since was dark by the time we walked to dinner. ... the private properties. We have seen many tourist climbing on the rooftop for a good angle to take the photos, it is very disrespectful. Keep in mind that their buildings and roofs are usually painted in white so it is very difficult to maintain. We stayed in Oia for the entire 4 days in Santorini, slept through the first day and went around Oia to take some photographs on the 2nd day. Didn't have to spend much time as Oia is a small town. We went all around the small streets in ...

    Fira and Oia

... asked enough shopkeepers to find it. On the walk along the boardwalk (if I can call it that), people were lined up for sunset. I was quite excited as the view towards the Caldera was really nice. When we arrived at our restaurant, it was disappointing to realise that the direction of our view was out towards the open sea and not the Caldera. It had a direct view of the sunset but disappointingly, it was just sea and sun and not the magical composition ...
