We headed out for our last meal on the Greek Islands to a place where Dane had spotted ribs cooking on the rotisserie. We were reading the menu out the front and examining the prices not feeling entirely enticed but after the boss, who was standing out the front, threw in a 10% discount and a bottle of wine we were sold!

DAY 40 Santorini Had an easy morning and caught the ferry to Santorini around a 2 hour trip stopping of at Naxos a long the way, very pretty. Porters were waiting to take our bags when we arrived at the Main Street of Fira, ( someone was looking out for us) our hotel is down the side of a cliff and we would have got lost for sure! Our first day in Santorini and it was a definite change of pace from Turkey, which was heavy on the sight seeing. So instead of hitting sights, we decided to go to the beach! After checking out the town taking copious amounts of photos of the caldera and cliff (see the photos, hard to explain just how good it looks). The beach was unlike anything ...

... the port of Santorini. At this point I had googled our accommodation to find where to go, as the booking confirmation just said Thira - the capital 'city' of the island. The bus dropped us off and we got walking. However my phone battery is sitting at 'very low'% at this stage, so I'm intermittently checking directions as we walk. Santorini is a very cliffy island and Thira is a series of notched terraces cut into the cliff face, so there ...
