    In the Maldives, each resort has it's own private island . There are more than 800 luxury resorts in this Indian Ocean archipelago.I stayed at the french resort , ClubMed Kani . Brilliant service and extremely friendly.What made this resort stand out was it's entertainment , Food all day and drinks(hard) all day on the house .All activities,drinks and food is included in your stay package.     ... for 28 years!! So Colin and I put on our raincoats and went to the gym, then to breakfast (it cleared by that time). Since it was still cloudy, but not raining, we went over to the watersports area and tried paddle boarding (the first time for us both). It wasn't that hard, so we had a nice time paddling around the lagoon...that is, until Colin came up and rammed me from behind, knocking me off! He claims it was an accident, but we all know Colin...he's still a rowdy ...

    ... mopeds than anywhere I have ever seen (and a bizzare number of Suzuki swifts). We had paused for a moment at the aiport arrival lounge and watched everyone else get sea planes and speed boats to their islands. I think that is the only was to really live the Maldives dream, fly to your 5 star resort and sit on the beach with a cocktail, blissfully ignorant of 'behind the scenes'.
