... it was her first time ever making a turkey in the oven. She also told me that she spent two weeks looking on the Internet for a recipe on how to cook a turkey. I really appreciate that she did that and that she put so much effort into making it. It was really nice of her to help us feel at home. Even though it was different it was still very good. A very good Spanish Thanksgiving. She also told me that I need to visit Barcelona ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands skivail89A couple of days ago I was talking with a friend of mine who is from England but is living in Malaga now. He told me that one time in a restaurant the waiter asked how the meal was and he told the waiter that it wasn't that good. He told me that normally the British will just sit there with an unhappy look on their face and never say anything. He got the meal for free. Today I met two really cool people from Seville, Alejandro (Alex) and ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands skivail89... selling sea food and having bbqs on the beach. The weather is amazing cant believe that its still around the 25 degrees mark at this time of year.
We walked for a while and then worked our way back to the hotel where Ian went and lay by the pool for a little while reading his book while I had a little sleep. Its only a few days now until we come home and I am excited although I want to keep on travelling around. We got ready ...
... drive along the coast through Marbella and we even saw the rock of Gibralter as well. As we where travelling though you could not help but notice the strips of english bars and restaurants and we laughed about what we have got coming up.
We got the the centre of Torrimolinos and got a taxi to our hotel. Its ok the hotel is clean and we have a large kitchen and balcony not overlooking the pool but its ok ...
... promenade in benalmadena which is the name of the town we are staying in. there are actually 3 cities in a row that start 'la costa del sol' they are torremolinos, benalmadena and fuengirola. the promenade begins/ends? in benalmadena and goes through torremolinos. All along the promenade are restaurants, pubs, shops selling souvenirs and of course the beach; the beaches are topless if you so desire. benalmadena is mostly made up of british expats and tourists who pop ...
Málaga, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands cruiseone2003... the pool, cooking for ourselves, and watching MTV in German (South Park is hilarious, BTW) it was time for another adventure.
We ended up booking an actual group tour to Morocco for the day. We wanted to go check it out on our own, but it was actually cheaper to do it though the tour, so we got up at 5:45 in the morning on Thursday and got on the bus to Tarifa, where we would take the ferry over to Tangier.
Even though it´s only a 35 minute ferry ride, Tangier really is ...
After breakfast and nice stroll on the beach, we head out to see the next city in the list which was Malaga. Malaga is very big compare to its size on the map :)
The trick is to head out to the old part of town to see the actions. Lots of architectures are dated back few years.
Cathedral as like the other places, is a must see in the old city. Small cobble stone alleys make it very nice and easy for walk.
The best ...
... 1 which I will not elaborate on); at night they get loudly, rancorously drunk, and stagger about the street in a daze. 4. Which, getting back to my previous point, requires no particular artifice in cooking whatsoever. In fact, from what I heard about British cooking it's a bit surprising the food is even this good. Now Diana and I are awaiting Barcelona to continue our culinary adventure. And that's really it.
Fuengirola, Spain partnerinflight... Granada. Gibraltar is a part of the UK so we had to show our passports as we crossed from Spain into Gibraltar. The border guards didn´t seem to care who came through as they appeared very uninterested in our passports. Since Gibraltar is a part of the UK, their currency is the British pound instead of the Euro, but the Euro was still accepted. The four of us took the cable car to the top of the rock and saw the famous monkeys of Gibraltar. Legend has it that as long as there are ...
