I woke up craving ridiculous amounts of meat today so I organised with Deborah and her friends to meet at a churrascaria in the north of the city. We drove up to the place and while we waited ordered enough food for 4 people, which included 3 pieces of picanha (the best thing about Brazil) and a mixture of other meat. Next stop was the museu do ouro (Gold museum). I was expecting the place to actually have gold, but it didn't. It turns out that during the gold rush period around 400 years ago, this place was used to process the gold. It was basically a house, with bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, that had the original things in it from the gold rush times. I didn't see anything gold.
