    Fast sail all the way over to Otranto and even had the fun of Dolphins playing at the helm. Busy shipping lanes overnight kept us all on our toes and Eric plenty of time to practise his lights.     Greetings all stateside! We woke up almost as far south as one can get on the heel of Italy this morning, looking out at a foggy morning. With the late arrival yesterday evening, we didn't have the opportunity to explore much of S.M. di Leuca, and as Mother would be unable to ride with us today (and had missed yesterday), she was unsurprisingly itching for some exercise.     ... DA, the water! We arrived at the Mediterranean shore, what a change from what we had been seeing. We biked along the waterfront for a few miles, chose a spot on the rocks and had a wonderful picnic. Great food, great views.
