... lunches. Picnics are an institution in France (England too) and we see people all the time with their folding tables, chairs, and coolers picnicking by the side of the road. Often the groups are very large and the picnic looks well planned with wine, wine glasses, covered dishes and silverware. No paper plates and plastic cups. Often there is a lovely wicker picnic basket to carry everything.

... I'm supposed to be and sorting out issues when they arise I'm not necessarily sailing through without a care. To be honest I'm relieved most of the guests in this hotel are Americans for the simple reason I can comprehend them. ... months. What we saw was focussed on the work of Austrian artist Gustav Klimt, as well as some others including Hundertwasser (think back to Vienna). You could walk around the huge caves checking out the show from different vantage points, or just sit and watch as the lights and images danced around you in time to the music. It was an odd but very unique and spectacular experience.

There was plenty to keep us busy in Nimes itself outside of the feria activities ...

... admire the skill of the waiters/sprukers encouraging all the tourists to come into their restaurant (sectioned off part of the plaza), it was lots of fun. It was a rare day today, as I did not get a chance to sample another French pastry or gelato, I will have to make up for that tomorrow.
